Meet the Fairbairns from Grays Harbor County, Washington.

On June 8, 1952 Albert (Bert) Fairbairn married Ina Dahlstrom. Nine months later they were blessed with little Shelley. She was followed by Chuck, Ryan, Bonnie, Tim and Janet (Boo).

Since then, they've all grown and/or started families of their own. These days, you'll find Shelley and the Masters Family, living in Central Park. Chuck and his family reside in Sunnyside. Ryan's family (including, little baby, China) now live in Dundee, Oregon. Bonnie and the Cross family can be found in Hoquiam. Tim and company have taken up residency in Aberdeen, while Boo's family is alive and kicking it in Olympia.

Bert and Ina were married for 49 years before Bert waged a courageous, ill-fated battle against cancer - an insidious disease that strikes without warning and without any regard for race, age or gender.

Medical science is making remarkable progress in the fight against this killer. But you must help in this life-or-death struggle. Your single best chance is to identify it in the earliest possible stage. The Fairbairn Bunch joins The American Cancer Society in urging you to get regular check-ups. Early cancer detection can save your life.
