The Grays Harbor County coroner says an autopsy confirms that the Aberdeen youth died of extreme homicidal violence. Police say the boy suffered a very, very severe neck injury.
Obviously the question comes up, what happened here? Right now those questions remain unanswered, said Capt. Mike Haymond, Aberdeen Police Department.
A makeshift memorial now stands where the body of the 16-year-old boy was discovered.
Friends and family grieve for a teenager who had so much life ahead of him.
Tolle was an Aberdeen High School sophomore. The school held an assembly Monday, April 10th and had counselors on hand to help students deal with the tragedy.
Earlier this week a bank account was set-up to collect a reward fund for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Tolle's killer. Donations to the fund can be made at any branch of First Community Bank.
The memorial service for Daryn Tolle was held Wednesday, April 12 - at 3:30 in the Aberdeen High School Auditorium. Students, staff and community members were invited to attend.
On April 13th, Aberdeen Police Department report that they have two murder suspects, Dionicio J. Russell, 20, and Matthew P. Christian, 24, in custody at the County jail, booked on first-degree murder.
Russell and Christian plead, "Not guilty," to charges of first-degree murder and rendering in Grays Harbor Superior Court April 17th.
